“My first visit scheduled on 20/09/26 for 10/10/26 for 2 hours at 13.45 till 15.45. Prisoner was told visit was for only 1 hour on the morning of the visit instead of 2 hours. As a visitor I had travelled 2.5 hours, arrived early to be told the visit was not till 3pm until 4pm. No call ahead of time to say this was the case so spent over 2 hours sitting in the visitors centre. Communication terrible. Then stripped off by a prison employee that I had not left at 15.45 like everyone else in front of all the other prisoners. One of the first times visiting a prison and the worse experience ever. I found it impactful, but especially difficult and damaging to prisoners mental health when looking forward to their scheduled 2 hour visit.”

“All cells have phones, plenty of jobs, including DHL which is better paid. Mostly double cells but can be put on a waiting list for a single cell.”
