  • “Regarding all the posts I have seen about EMates. HMP/YOI Parc has stopped using EMates since January 2026. Anyone looking to email or contact someone inside now has to use PURPLE POST (purple app with a stamp on the front saying purple post). This is for you to send postcards and post cards only. You will need to verify yourself and the person you wish to contact. You then can purchase 10 postcards for £6, 20 postcards for £10, or 50 for £25.you can select 1-3 photos. Or select the 1 photo option and create your own collage of photos and add it in that way. As for video calls you will need to download Purple visits. They take about 3/4 days to be approved so book them about 5/6 days in advance (first come first serve) the same verification process will need to be done on this app too!”
