“I went into Norwich on a Thursday. Didn't have phone until a Monday. At first £20 a week, first timer in prisoner, wanted very regular contact with family during first six months. Afterwards dropped down to £10 a week. Moved to highpoint prison after 4 weeks. The phone account stayed active. I would say about once every 3 weeks you'd get the phone line unable to connect calls for a few hours.”

“it's a 50/50 chance items are received from Amazon it's better to give the money to the LO, then there's proper record. Also only allowed certain amount of cds. Wise to get the LO to get a job or education it pays off.”

“Families have to wait to be contacted by the prisoner. Security has to be cleared before contact. Adults cannot get information out. Personal items, i.e. CDs, can only be ordered if distributed by Amazon — not from abroad. Clothes are expensive if ordered from the prison website.”
