How do I send money?

The only official way to send money, what it pays for, and how long families say it takes to show.

  1. Use the official service

Use GOV.UK send money to someone in prison. That is the product. Everything else is a leftover.

  2. What you need

You need name, date of birth, prisoner number. If they have just arrived, wait a day and try again.

  3. Money pays for calls

Money pays for phone credit and canteen. If you want calls, this is the action — not a letter asking them to ring.
